Keep Out School of Love: the future passes through education

The Keep Out School of Love, like all special projects, had a long gestation. The first relations between Keep Out and the town of Jaipur, a city traditionally devoted to textile craftsmanship, date back to 2017: it was there that Stefania Gagliardone, founder of Keep Out, went in search of silk for the creation of her collection of bracelets. On this trip, she met Rajukmar, a father and a teacher who wanted to set up a school for children in distress and fragility in his village.

Once the appropriate land was identified, our company committed to give financial support to the construction of the school, which was inaugurated in October 2019. In October 2021, the Keep Out School of Love moved to a larger facility, which can accommodate up to 120 pupils, orphaned children aged 4 to 12 being homeless, without access to education.

The Institute also offers a boarding service for children who have no relatives to live with: three teachers, in fact, take care of them after school hours and live with them in the school.

The Lady Jaipur bracelet, made of pure Indian silk personally purchased by Keep Out, is the manifesto product of this partnership: for each bracelet sold, we allocate 2€ to the maintenance and expansion of the Keep Out School of Love.

Keep Out and Made in Italy

Keep Out and Made in Italy are an inseparable combination: since its foundation, the company has consolidated around itself a supply chain that is the result of thinking, calculations, considerations and values. Unless otherwise specified, such as the Lady Jaipur bracelet, we only sell Made in Italy items.

The idea behind each product is born and becomes a design in our offices in Casale Monferrato, but it is with the help of collaborators in Novara that the design turns into a 3D model, equipped with a prototype and a mould.

We chose to produce in the handicraft district of Arezzo, which boasts a very ancient history: one of the few certain information we have about the Etruscans is that they had settled in Tuscany and they were skilled goldsmiths. The gold worked in Arezzo was sold, for example, in the Renaissance courts of Florence and Rome, and even in the Vatican. Precious and non-precious metals designed by the best international brands are processed in the goldsmith district of Arezzo, which today includes more than a thousand companies.

The Keep Out suppliers are small family-run companies, with approx. 20 employees and very close to each other: this allows them to interact, if necessary, and allows us to carry out regular audits, cultivating as much as possible a friendly relationship. Because we understand each other, we have agreed on flexible delivery times, allowing us to cope with any peaks in demand.

Keep Out has a trustworthy relationship with these partners: since the thimble is a registered trademark in jewellery, the collaboration is protected by a non-disclosure agreement. These suppliers handle the moulds that make the thimbles, which is, basically, the heart of the Keep Out brand.

All this is simply possible because we communicate quickly and immediately, sharing the same language and the same technical language; we share values, “professional” education, and – not least – the same time zone!
